Lamer, Agnes L., 80, of East Conemaugh Borough, passed away on November 17, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born on January 21, 1932 in Spangler, PA. Daughter of Irvin and Nobel L. (Heberling) Pennington. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Sylvester M. âWessâ Lamer; sons, David Russell and Marlin; brothers, Richard âDickâ and Blakely Pennington; sister, Sarah Lantz; sister-in-law, Cora Beckel and special friend, Beverly Sheldon. She is survived by her loving sons, James E., married to the former Connie Geisler, Southmont, Richard A. married to the former Kim Hullihen, Bon Air, Irvin E. married to the former Lucy Weiland, Spangler, PA and Gerald D. married to the former Tammy Hafer, East Conemaugh; 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Esther Kalakey, Dorothy Shultz, Tillie Nealean, Shelva Jean Wolf; Lucille Deyarmin, Ann Saxton and Thelma Pennington; brother-in-law, Charles Lamer; many friends, including special friend, Pauline Palumbo, and numerous nieces and nephews. Agnes enjoyed playing 500 Rummy, poetry, and canning. She also enjoyed watching and shopping with QVC. Agnes especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family would like to thank the staff at the Church of the Brethren Home and Dr. Patel for their care and kind generosity. Friends will be received from 3-7 P.M. on Tuesday and from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. on Wednesday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, with the Rev. James Hullihen officiating. Internment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family suggests contributions be directed to the Alzheimerâs Association, Greater PA Chapter, 1100 Liberty Avenue, Suite E-201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 in memory of Agnes.
